We have a wealth of experience of
creating, developing and running both simple and complex 3-D FE models, on both
high-performance pcs and workstations.

CIC has developed the CIC-SIM program family for the development of
crashworthy 3-D framework-type structures
- Aids development of crashworthy, 3-D framework-type structures
- Considers beams and joints separately from the whole structure
- Component collapse characteristics from analysis, test or assumed 'design'
- Collapse of the complete structure analysed using relatively simple, yet reliable
simulation
- Integrated and user-friendly, supported by detailed User Manual with many modelling
hints
- Instant or very fast response, running on PCs and UNIX workstations
- Extensively supported by experimental evidence, user support and courses, etc.
- Used for roof crush studies on cars, buses, special purpose vehicles, tractors, safety
seats, road furniture, oil rigs, roll over and falling object protective structures
- Officially approved for Type Approval according to the ECE
Regulation 66 (bus rollover)

The program has been used to
develop and Type Approve coach bodies (Bova, Berkhof,
Jonckheere, Plaxton, Caetano, WS Coaches, Van Hool, Smit, EU, plus several diagnsotic
studies), also on safety cabs in fire-engines, cars,
tractors and railways, on safety seats, offshore-structures
and road safety fences. |
